I had the strangest question this week, and realised that the media has moved on, and the righteous indignation has left the twitter-verse and the Facebook Keyboard Warriors has fallen silent. (or maybe they have just found a new field of expertise, like the James Web Telescope, room temperature superconductors, or Niger declaring war on EU electricity?)
"...The war in Ukraine... it's pretty much done, isn't it?..."
No, it’s not.
Fighting is still fierce every day… And although the Ukrainians band together and clean up the rubble and repair the damage after every bombardment and every drone attack and every missile that gets through… it seems like the damage is slowly becoming overwhelming.
Reni, our holdout port city has also been attacked, which was a wake-up call even for us, that pray daily and think we are paying attention.
The slideshow below is courtesy of Sergei Dobrovolskii (Facebook) and is a single image of the destruction of a major city, town or fighting area…
Although we have Hope and Faith, the evidence suggest that even if the war ends tomorrow, the recovery will be years if not decades.
