“Trust God for everything, because the one who works for Him deserves to be provided for.”
(Matthew 10:10)
Is it actually that simple?
When Jesus sent out the 12 the first time, He gave 4 instructions:
1. Preach that the door to the kingdom of heaven is open. The relationship with God can be healed!
2. Heal the lepers (outcasts) and the sick.
3. Break off demonic presence from people
4. Raise the dead back to life.
I was thinking about this… reading and rereading. Most of the messages of Jesus, His instructions and His teachings had multiple layers of meaning.
We are literally called to raise people from the dead… both physically, and spiritually… probably in every other way as well.
Putting a man back on his feet to care for his family seems to be just as much of a miracle as calling a man from a grave to life … to take care of a family…
What will I be doing today? Who will I share a message with? Who can I heal physically or emotionally? From whose back can I tear off a demon? Where can I speak life?
… and if I don’t have the opportunity to do any of that today, will I, at the very least, not speak death, not accidentally (or purposely) cause physical or emotional pain and suffering, cast away a person I don’t have time for… or not be Jesus for someone that is searching.
