The last week of Jesus life before the crucifixion is one of the best documented parts of his Life…
On Sunday he rode into Jerusalem on the back of a colt, and the crowds cheered because finally they thought they had a king that would deliver them from the tyranny of Rome.
On Monday he cleanses the temple… again… and on Tuesday Jesus has his final showdown with the religious leaders (who, by the way, also wanted Lazarus killed because he was raised from the dead… I mean, give the guy a break!)
On Thursday is the preparation and final supper where Jesus also washes the Disciples feet. Then arrested. His trial and crucifixion happen through Friday (if the timelines seem confusing at times, remember the Jewish day started at 6pm – so “Friday” started at 6pm on Thursday evening)
But Today, Wednesday… it’s quiet. A day spent with disciples and friends.
May you have a peaceful day today!
