Jude 1:11-16 (be where and who God wants you to be)

This weekend had me. God taught me a very valuable lesson. Regardless of what you want or think you want, if your heart is intent on following Him, and living for God’s Purpose, He will open the doors He wants opened to put you in a place where HE wants your specific impact. Just because it would be nice, or convenient or profitable, really means nothing… I had to think about this… If where you are doesn’t touch people’s lives… then maybe you are not where God wants you to be? If you are gaining blessings and wealth and prosperity… and not using it to further God’s kingdom… what use is it? And what use are you? Balaam had a gift. But he decided that he would use his gift for his own profit, not for God’s purpose… what use was he then? (Well, except as a bad example…) WhatsApp Image 2018-05-07 at 06.24.47 Jude speaks quite blatantly about false teachings and those that further those false teachings: WhatsApp Image 2018-05-07 at 06.28.22 It seems harsh… But think about it… the teachings take people away from the relationship with the Father and the reason Jesus died… instead of being people closer to God. But then I have to wonder… Why? Why teach or spread anything from the Bible that is a half truth or a lie when we have the good news to spread?! Why focus on anything else than Christ? It makes no sense… Jude answers my question: WhatsApp Image 2018-05-07 at 06.34.23 Wow… Did that nail me to the floor. I did a lot of fault finding and grumbling this last week. 🤦🏼‍♂ My fruits seem to be a bit bruised and eaten by worms 🐛 ☹
