God is with you, He will not forsake you…

There is a beautiful verse in Isaiah that speaks to the heart:

”See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands;
your walls are ever before me.”
(Isaiah 49:16 NIV)

God says through Isaiah: You are important to me!

See!! I have engraved you on the palms of my hands (imagine a tattoo of the love of your life, embedded in your skin forever and ever.) Reminding God constantly of you.

You are always on His mind. BUT MORE:

“Your walls are ever before me.”

What does that mean?

Well, at that time, the walls of Jerusalem were broken down, crumbling and falling over.

So God is saying: I see your trouble, your brokenness, your fear and your despair.

God sees. You are not alone. You are not forgotten. God Sees.

You will be restored “As surely as I live,” declares the Lord”
(Isaiah 49:18 NIV)
