Are you causing someone to stumble?

Have you considered…

“Whether you eat or drink, live your life in a way that glorifies and honours God
(1 Corinthians 10:31 TPT)

We live in a world of demands. Every group insist on their rights. It’s a bit crazy, but I see it between Christians as well (in other words, sadly, I recognise it in my life) I can also ”Stand on my rights!”

Paul agrees with me but reminds me to ask: Above all… Does it Glorify God? (my first purpose)

Then he goes on to ask… Is it making another stumble? Not just believers, but also unbelievers. (breaking my second purpose of serving others so that God can be Glorified)

”Do not cause anyone to stumble, whether Jews, Greeks or the church of God”
(1 Corinthians 10:32 NIV)

The more I think about my purpose and calling, the more I seem to be seeing the actions of Jesus and the disciples in a different light.

Like a Child saved from a horrific car crash, that then grows up to become a paramedic or firefighter… Our driving force, our reason for doing changes when we think about our role in the kingdom as opposed to just living in the kingdom

It’s the story of the two workers on a plot. A passerby asks what they are doing, and the first one says: “I’m a plumber, I put in pipes” but the second one says: “I am a bricklayer and I am building a Cathedral!”

Be absolutely blessed today and share that blessing with those around you!
