Books to Get: Praying like Monks, Living Like Fools

 by Tylor Staton.

“An Invitation to the Wonder and Mystery of Prayer”

I purchased this book on a referral on the back of a podcast that mentioned it.

Strange way to commit limited resources of finances and time, you might say, but what drew me was to extreme and utter honesty that spoke to my being.

Tylor Staton doesn’t teach about prayer from a podium, he shares his life of discovery… the good and the bad. the difficult and the horrid in an unsanitised and honest way. That point alone convinced me that there will be truth there. Unvarnished and sincere.

I am posting this link about halfway through the book because it has already had a major impact on my psyche and I have been recommending it to people since the second day of reading it.

If you want a deeper understanding of Prayer, The prayer that gives honour to God, but also builds the relationship with God. The prayer that is a conversation with the king, not a “to-do” list for our saviour, then I can highly recommend this book.

Originally I got this book on Audible, but I will probably be getting the physical copy and bible study as well… there are just too may references I want to look up again!
