The wisdom of David or the guidance of God?

If nothing else, I will be forever grateful to The Passion Translation for their version of the Psalms. It has forever changed the way I hear the words of the Psalmists.

…Lord! I’m bursting with joy over what you’ve done for me!”

”…My lips are full of perpetual praise!”

”…I’m boasting of you and all your works,

so let all who are discouraged take heart!”

(Psalm 34, TPT)

So today, I want to revisit Psalm 37, aptly tagged as ’Poetic Praise by King David’

The whole passage is absolutely beautiful, but the first verses that always pop out to me is verse 3 and 4. (as you read though, the next one, and then the next one just pops out to you!! … but before I get ahead of myself…)

Keep trusting in the Lord and do what is right in His eyes. Fix your heart on the promises of God, and you will dwell in the land, feasting on his faithfulness.
(Psalm 34:3, TPT)

One verse, so much to focus on!

1. Keep Trusting God

2. Do what is right in GOD’s Eyes
(not what is right and acceptable in the world’s ways of doing. The stuff being “normalised” today is just downright scary!)

3. Focus on: The Promises God made to You!

4. Do this, and you will remain in a space of provision and safety.

Keep trusting in the Lord and do what is right in His eyes. Fix your heart on the promises of God, and you will dwell in the land, feasting on his faithfulness.
(Psalm 34:3, TPT)
