We serve an awesome God!
“And I will send you the Divine Encourager [Holy Spirit] from the very presence of my Father. He will come to you, the Spirit of Truth, emanating from the Father, and he will speak to you about me.”
(John 15:26-27, TPT)
For months, I have been hounding God about plans. Calling, Purpose, Plans… Calling, Purpose, Plans… and God has been patiently holding me back, and slowly revealing because He knows… if I get a whiff of something, I am off!
So, as we are getting to a point of departure, I am having discussions about “the plans” with God, and I remember that a while back I was standing next to the Hennops River, asking God: Does my plan look like this? Life-giving water polluted with junk and plastics and rubbish that is my own thoughts and ideas?
In any case… I kept on praying and asking (hounding is maybe a better word) and redrawing, and adjusting and, and, and…
So this morning God might have had enough because as I read 1 Corinthians 15: 36-38 He said to me to open my eyes. This is “my plans”
“Foolish man! Don’t you know that what you sow in the ground doesn’t germinate unless it dies? And what you sow is not the body that will come into being, but the bare seed. And it’s hard to tell whether it’s wheat or some other seed. But when it dies, God gives it a new form, a body to fulfill his purpose, and he sees to it that each seed gets a new body of its own and becomes the plant He designed it to be.*“
(1 Corinthians 15:36-38 TPT)
Take your plans, they are good plans… go and sow them. Plant them and water them. I will make them grow into what they are supposed to be!
We serve an awesome God!
I do not know what God knows. And I do not know how He will take my attempts and transform it into what He needs. I might think I am planting a food plot, but God might decide to turn it into a garden of rest… It is just not for me to decide what it becomes.
God is always faithful in His calling when you obey it, even not having no idea what the call is.

“Now unto him, that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen” (KJV Ephesians 3:20,21).
Make no mistake, someone still needs to prepare the ground, water the plants, keep out the critters and protect the harvest. We must just be flexible to shape according to God’s plans and not stubbornly try to hold onto our own.
One day, I will surely say: I could never have imagined! 😃
I thought it was only going to be… 😃
